Amorpha Youth Foundation has launched a new COMPETITION part of its “Amorpha Academy for Young Ambassadors of Culture” 2024 programme. The competition is open to secondary school students from “Konstantin Preslavski” High School for Humanities and Arts, Varna, Bulgaria. The theme of the contest is “My Encounter with Korean Culture”.

Become a young ambassador of Korean culture in Varna by sending a text, photo, illustration or other interesting cultural content!

The Academy chose the school for its competition because the educational institution specialises in the humanities, culture and arts, which provide young people with the necessary knowledge and skills to understand more deeply the full, creative linguistic, historical and social aspects of cultures around the world.

Winners will receive their prizes on June 3, Monday, at 15:00h in the school’s Rakursi Gallery. The prizes will be presented together with H.E. Dr. Jongin BE, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Bulgaria. The Ambassador is a guest lecturer at Amorpha Academy 2024 in its Cultural Diplomacy track and will deliver his lecture on the topic “Encounter with Korea and East Asia” to the participants of the Academy and students from the school.

The competition is part of Amorpha Academy for Young Ambassadors of Culture 2024 organisied by Amorpha Foundation in partnership with the School and the Embassy. The prizes are provided by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Bulgaria, Korean restaurant “Kimbap” – Varna and Amorpha Academy 2024, “Europe-Asia” edition.

Two more cultural content competitions for students are coming up, dedicated to the other two East and Southeast Asian countries on focus in the Academy’s programme this year.

Amorpha Academy 2024 is implemented with the support of the Bulgarian Culture Fund at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria.
