Amorpha Youth Foundation is a Bulgarian registered nonprofit established on 16 April 2016. The foundation builds on the legacy of Amorpha Youth Group formed by young people in Varna, Bulgaria, united as a team of public event organisers under the Amorpha brand since 25 January 2009.

Young people and young professionals have shaped the core teams of Amorpha’s initiatives based on their skills, interests and the trajectories of their educational and professional development. Amorpha’s contribution to the local and larger community thrives on the link between young people as active citizens and the public setting (public policies, publics space and people). In all initiatives young people are the starting point instead of the receivers of new trends and strategic development.

Capacity building of young people as creators of initiatives and events, cultural managers, artists, scientists, policy contributors and active citizens shapes Amorpha’s mission since the beginning. The argument is that young people should be equipped with good understanding, skills to make an impact and vision to ensure its relevance, encompassed by a strong sense of responsibility.

In 2021, the foundation formally launched its official non-formal educational platform.

The programmes are designed around a specific cultural field and usually contain a multidisciplinary aspect. Trainees, aged 16 to 29 years, apply through an open call and attend the programmes free of charge. Each programme is completed through trainee contribution to a final programme event. Most programmes require participation in person in Varna, Bulgaria, while some allow distance training.
