Get ready for this year’s inspiring literary experience with more new European authors and their texts presented in public readings throughout the city. Save the date for the second Wednesday of the month of European celebration, which this year falls on 10 May.

European Literature Night is an international cultural initiative promoting recently publish literary works by European authors. This is a European cultural event dedicated to the intellectual contribution of literary authors and their work as well as to that of translators, publishing houses and city venues making possible the encounter between reader/listener and the literary work. The selected passages from contemporary European authors will be read simultaneously in each city every half an hour from 18:00 to 22:00 h.

In Bulgaria the literary Night is organised by the cultural institutes and embassies of EU Member States in Bulgaria in partnership with local organisations. The initiative will have its fifth edition in Varna, traditionally coordinated by Amorpha Youth Foundation in collaboration with Varna Municipality. European Literature Night is part of the May Arts Saloon by the municipality’s Department of Culture and Spiritual Development. Amorpha is hosting the event as part of its Days of Europe platform, edition 10.
