Special edition of Amorpha’s discussion format Breakwater Talks at School in Bulgarian, English and French will be dedicated to Human Rights Day, 10 December, at the Lycée Français International de Varna, the International French College in Varna.

In our talk on 12 December we will learn more about young people’s understanding of how to be charitable and will discuss the connection between charity, human rights, community work and civil society organisations.

Our guest speaker is Ms Ivelina Miteva, founder of RE-Dress.org platform for charity campaigns. Ivelina will share her experience as informal corporate social responsibility advisor at the local branch of an international company as well as some recent lessons and open questions from the new challenges she is facing with her newly launched charity platform.

During our meeting, we will also reflect on our four years with the Multicultural City, the intercultural learning project run by Amorpha at the college, and, together with the students who have been exposed to it, discuss its more deeply rooted and long-term objectives associated with overcoming cultural stereotyping and prejudice in the community, fostering knowlege and understanding about cultures, especially those represented in the local community, shaping individual and community identity in a multicultural setting, and cultural diplomacy.
